Contemporary of Henri IV and his descendants, the Giraud-Hémart family settled permanently in Aÿ at the beginning of the 17th century. From the 18th century, the family history is rooted in Aÿ—an exceptional terroir, intimately mixed with the extraordinary champagne. He rebuilt the magnificent family vineyard that had just been devastated by phylloxera and First World War. Emmanuelle Giraud, 13th generation of the Giraud-Hémart family, today presides over the destiny of this Champagne House.
