Owned by Château la Gaffelière, which belong to the family De Malet Roquefort since 1705, Dame de Gaffelière is a plot by plot management, coming from the foot hill of the Estate. The blend is usually a large majority of Merlot (85% and more) , the rest of Cabernet Franc. This wine is made in its own cellar, by the team of Château La Gaffelière, aged in oak barrels, with just as much care as the lots making up the 'Grand Vin'.

It is a very solid red with notes of plum, moist earth and tobacco. Medium-bodied to full-bodied and firm tannins and slightly chewed. Nice finish.
