The whisky matured for about 18 monts in new 112L chestnut casks, then in 200L 1st fill bourbon barrels. Filled in March 2021, the chestnut casks bring a clear, intense profile with notes of dried apricot, vanilla, and caramel, plus a touch of chestnut’s mild spice, hints of phenols, leather, and candied sugar. A whisky with great body and a long, elegant finish.
