The grapes used in producing this wine come exclusively from vineyards located in the heart of Barolo, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo d'Alba. The sweetness is due largely to the moderate acidity and tannins extracted from small-to-medium toast French oak barrels; a Marchesi di Barolo best seller, where the freshness and acidity of the Barbera grapes meets the power and personality of the soil of Alba.

85% Barbera, 15% Nebbiolo.

The colour is a dark, ruby-red with crimson shades. The aroma is fresh and intense, with clean scents of wild berries and spices. Clear, but perfectly blended wooden notes. The flavour is warm and robust, pleasant, full-bodied and harmonic. This Barbera's sensory attributes make it an outstanding accompaniment for imposing first and main courses and boiled or roasted meats.
