The story behind Original Dr. Nielsen’s Bitter goes back to the time when Doctor Nielsen, who lived in a small village called Hobro, in Denmark,

created in his spare time, what he considered was, the “real bitter”. Together with his good friend the pharmacist, the recipe was perfected. In 1988 the recipe was handed over to our company, so other discerning people could enjoy this Danish Bitter. The old Pharmacy, where Original Dr. Nielsen’s Bitter was ‘born’ is pictured on the front label.
